Server Hardware Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate server HW functionality
  • Install and remove HW at a component level (motherboard, HDD/SSD, Memory, CPU, PCH, etc)
  • Manage server HW inventory at a component level within the System Of Record HW Database
  • Document HW for each platform on a HW Transfer Checklist prior to transfer to the Long-Term Retention team
  • Install Operating Systems and other software as part of the platform functional validation

Requirements:

  • High School completed AND Technical Degree in electrical, electronic, or related field of study
  • 1+ years' experience supporting Engineering Activities in Electronics Industry
  • Intermediate English Level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows OS, system BIOS configuration, and firmware programming
  • Remote Connectivity deployments - Test PC, Debug PC, Debug Peripherals, IP KVM, VNC, System Tracking
  • Lab test equipment (digital multimeters, XDP, Serial Debug, power supplies, etc)
  • Experience to assemble/rework standard computer systems from raw components
