About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Development Engineer to join our team at Experian Marketing Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend API services, web UI, and Big Data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure backend API services using Java.
  • Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements and design technical solutions.
  • Write technical design documents and perform peer code reviews.
  • Analyze program performance for load and endurance testing using various programming languages and techniques.
  • Write unit tests and perform integration tests to ensure high-quality code.
  • Remediate security risk flaws identified through static scans and manual penetration tests.
  • Stay current with current and emerging technologies, industry trends, and standards.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience implementing portable, robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Experience with Big Data, MapReduce, No-SQL Databases, Hadoop, and Apache HBase is preferred.
  • Experience with Junit, Git/Bitbucket, and Maven as build and dependency management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agile development processes, software testing, and documentation is essential.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, and problem-solve under deadlines and resource constraints.
