Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Yacht Recruitment Specialist to join our team. This role involves sourcing and recruiting talent for various positions across our Caribbean locations, with a focus on crew roles such as captains and chefs.
Responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and recruiting the required headcount for operations in Sunsail and The Moorings
- Utilizing market knowledge to attract future talent through direct sourcing, employee referrals, social media, job boards, and web pages
- Ensuring adherence to hiring processes, including RTW and qualification checks
- Representing the company at events like careers fairs, colleges, and boat shows to increase brand awareness and network with potential candidates
- Developing sourcing strategies aligned with allocated roles and collaborating with local managers and the people team to implement them
- Serving as a primary point of contact for operations managers regarding recruitment, from briefing calls to regular updates
- Upskilling and coaching hiring managers on standard methodology interview skills, processes, and current legislation, providing advice and support throughout the recruitment process
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a talent acquisition position
- A keen interest in travel or yachting
- Experience handling multiple vacancies across various locations
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident and professional phone manner
- Self-motivation and results-driven approach
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
- Social media experience, with the ability to use main platforms, write engaging content, and promote it effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality according to best-practice HR guidelines
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is preferred
- Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships easily
- Positive, reliable, 'can-do' approach
- Adaptability to change and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to remove emotions from decision-making
- Flexibility to work varying hours and travel as necessary
