About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our global shared services team at Stryker. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, journal entries, and other accounting-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assigned month-end closing activities, including fixed assets processes, cash, and financial reporting.
  • Performs accurate and timely preparation of journal entries and relevant supporting documentation.
  • Prepares, maintains, and reconciles ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.
  • Executes assigned SOX controls and other activities related to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Supports deliverance of performance metrics (KPIs) to Supervisor.
  • Works closely with markets and local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries in a timely manner.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Migrates R2R processes from countries in scope.
  • Fosters continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of processes and procedures.
  • SUPPORTS ad-hoc tasks and requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate level: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas, etc.).
  • English level B2.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience preferably from Finance background in General Accounting activities.
  • Experience of working in a shared service center across a global/large organization/matrixed international company.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
