Position Summary:
The Senior Accounting Analyst plays a crucial role in the Record to Report department, focusing on processing general, complex, and critical accounting activities. This position demands high analytical skills, specialized training, and decision-making in situations with high complexity.

Main Responsibilities:
• Perform accounting activities, such as general ledger, intercompany, and fixed assets, for the month-end close process.
• Ensure that all reconciliation information is entered into the system, with proper support to provide visibility to the movements made during the month. Reconcile the most complex and/or critical balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze accounting information to resolve discrepancies, identify the root cause, and avoid similar situations.
• Ensure that all accounting entries registered in the system are approved by the supervisor and have proper supporting documentation.
• Provide management support by coordinating key calls and meetings required for the business.
• Capture key meeting risks, actions, issues, and decisions to communicate to the management team.
• Review and approve team tasks, such as reconciliations, manual journal entries, reports, and ad-hoc requests from external and internal customers, and other calculations.
• Proactively handle the follow-up process related to any open risks, issues, actions, and decisions (RAID)
• Support weekly and monthly reporting cadence and ad-hoc reports, including executive-level reports and presentations.
• Prepare and consolidate the Hyperion Reporting process.
• Monitor all accounting activities in the month-end close and ensure they are completed within the stipulated time.
• Lead the process of internal and external audits, maintaining controls of complete and correct operating procedures, and serving as a point of contact to provide information requested by auditors.
• Provide customer service by answering and resolving disputes and ad-hoc questions requiring highly complex investigation, collaborating with stakeholders to escalate inquiries, and providing process updates to the leadership team, negotiation, and dispute resolution, analyzing, interpreting, and consolidating reports for stakeholders' review, and coordinating communication between stakeholders and the accounting area.
• Follow up on existing cases and make the correct resolution following established guidelines.
• Implement methods to standardize operations, through the creation of performance metrics that ensure general accounting tasks are accomplished with precision, quality, and success.
• Support supervisors and management in the implementation of established strategies and guidelines.
• Participate in strategies at the organizational level that promote the continuous improvement of the Shared Service Center.
• Provide support to teammates in complex situations as an SME.
• Provide support and any other request required by the company's needs.

Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree related to the position or 7+ years of experience in similar positions.
• Shared Service Centers experience.
• B2+ English Level.
• MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook - Excel intermediate/advance.
• ERPs experience (Oracle, SAP, JDEdwards, Mainframe).
• Experience in Backline or Hyperion (plus).
• Experience in bank platforms (plus).
• Experience in SOX Compliance (plus).
