About the RoleWe're looking for a passionate technologist who enjoys learning new technologies and has hands-on experience with server and cloud compute systems. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will design, install, test, and maintain modern cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code-based techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Scripting and applications development with an emphasis on infrastructure
- Designing compute solutions derived from architecture standards and design templates
- Performing advanced configuration of servers
- Advanced troubleshooting of server systems
- Training junior staff
- Monitoring server systems and assisting in corrective actions
- Experience with Configuration Management/Deploy Automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins)
- At least one programming language (Python preferred)
- 1-2 years' hands-on experience deploying IaaS and/or PaaS in Microsoft Azure (preferred)
- 3-5 years' professional IT experience with compute technologies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban process
- Working knowledge of security practices and tools (CIS hardening, best practices)
- Some experience in Capacity Planning, Performance, Monitoring/Management, and Server/Cloud compute Design Architecture
- Good communication skills and customer service attitude
- Organization and analysis skills, problem-solving ability
- Able to communicate effectively with peer groups
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Linux experience with emphasis on scripting and automation
- Must have experience in setting up/maintaining RedHat environment
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
