About the Role
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities across the legal entity operations. This includes Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of legal entity forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements in line with local and US GAAP.
- Manage and comply with all local reporting requirements.
- Certain closing activities including completion of sub-ledger postings, reconciliations, posting to GL, Fixed Assets, AP, AR, Inventory and Cash accounting.
- Evaluate quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Support development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
- Coordinate execution of audit-related activities.
- Ensure robust compliance environment with SOX, internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven 5+ years of experience in similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP principles.
- Leadership, organizational, action-oriented, sense of urgency, influencing skills.
