Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our VMware Compute North/South America (NASA) Team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective technical assistance to our customers, leveraging your expertise in virtualization technologies to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer support via phone, email, and chat, ensuring prompt resolution of customer issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Field Teams, to resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of VMware products and services, staying up-to-date with the latest technology advancements.
- Create and update knowledge articles to share best practices and solutions with the global support community.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support to ensure business continuity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- 3+ years of experience in technical support engineering, preferably in a virtualization or cloud computing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
- Experience with server management software, kernel configuration, and hardware-related issue troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment, with flexibility to work evening/night hours and weekends as needed.
