Hotel Bar Attendant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Hotel Bar Attendant to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.

Job Summary:

The Hotel Bar Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests while maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

• Prepare and serve drinks according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
• Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks.
• Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
• Transport supplies to bar set-up area.
• Wash soiled glassware.
• Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
• Process all payment methods.
• Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Complete closing duties.
• Foster a positive and respectful work environment by following company and safety policies, reporting accidents and injuries, and participating in safety training and certifications.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of beverages, spirits, and cocktails
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to bend, twist, push, pull, and stoop as needed

• This is a full-time position requiring regular attendance and punctuality
• May require working variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

$40,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience
