Job Description:
This role will support the management of all types of inbound shipments into and out from the Costa Rica site, collaborating closely with stakeholders, supply chain partners, and other teams to ensure seamless logistics operations. The Logistics Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for managing freight spends, ensuring compliance with customs/trade regulations, and driving performance improvements within the freight supplier network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities related to import and movement of raw materials, carriers execution follow up, and exploration of options for moving cargo.
- Serve as primary contact point for operations network, ensuring Transportation Operation requirements are fulfilled.
- Manage shipment types including semi-finished goods, finished goods, new or re-used capital equipment, direct and indirect materials, spares, components, and other accessories or goods.
- Collaborate with Transportation groups across countries, Intel Transportation Procurement group, Quality partners, Corporate, and Site security.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires strong analytical skills, ability to identify business opportunities, work independently, create and execute plans of action, influence and deliver results in a dynamic cross-functional environment. Excellent presentation skills are necessary to create, deliver, and influence stakeholders. Intermediate Excel experience and intermediate to advanced English level are required. An unrestricted Costa Rican Work Permit is mandatory.
Education and Experience:
Active student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Production, Business Administration, Customs Administration, International Commerce, or related field with 75% of courses approved. Previous experience with Incoterms / IHATA/ Chemicals import regulation, SAP, and Lean, Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
