Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton, where we deliver exceptional experiences that leave lasting impressions.

About the Role:

  • Operate and monitor washing, drying, and dry cleaning machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place in clean linen carts.
  • Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabric types.
  • Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
  • Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes using hand-folding techniques or machine assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records of laundered items.

Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  2. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  3. Complete safety training and certifications.
  4. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  5. Support team efforts to reach common goals.
  6. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Comfortable moving through narrow spaces and climbing stairs as needed.
