Job Description
The Financial Data Remediation Analyst is a key member of the Controllers Data team, responsible for understanding the concerns of stakeholders within the Controllers organization relative to data quality and availability. This position requires strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills to break down challenges into component parts.
About the Position
This role focuses on one of the following areas: Books & Records initiatives, Reporting initiatives, Data Operations, Data Strategy, or Strategic Ledger and Books & Records Controls. The individual in this role will engage with stakeholders to elicit and formally define their requirements and develop data quality rules and metrics.
Responsibilities
* Understand the concerns of stakeholders within the Controllers organization relative to data quality and availability* Develop data quality rules and metrics, including dashboards, KPIs, and other measurements of success* Engage with stakeholders to elicit and formally define their requirements* Manage multiple activities simultaneously and plan / prioritize appropriately* Work with stakeholders to satisfy the data needs of the Controllers organization with high-quality and fit-for-purpose data* Participate in the development of project artifacts, including business and functional requirements, user acceptance test plans, and operational readiness documents
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Management, or related field* 5+ years working in the financial services industry, financial data management, or financial data remediation* Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills with ability to break challenges into component parts* Excellent written and verbal communications skills* Proven experience working in collaboration across large organizations* Ability to lead and drive change through creative thinking and pragmatism* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
