Job Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in driving financial processes forward. Key responsibilities include:

  • Migrating accounting processes from 3M's Latin America subsidiaries to the Costa Rica GSC
  • Providing critical information to the Regional RTR team, encompassing GL, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, and Treasury
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, while delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and spearheading implementation efforts

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (completed)
  • An analytical mindset with a focus on client service and quality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience in process migration
  • At least three years of local Accounting and Bank Process expertise
  • In-depth knowledge of LA bank platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A strong team-oriented approach, with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Consideration will be given to candidates with:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (Licenciatura, Maestria) in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience working within a Service Center environment, with direct involvement in GL, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and/or Inter-Company
  • Process improvement experience, including Lean Six Sigma
  • Working knowledge of A/S400 and/or SAP
