Advanced Quality Assurance Specialist

Abbott Laboratories seeks a skilled Advanced Quality Assurance Specialist to provide quality support for the production process. This position will work closely with Quality Engineering to ensure nonconformance processes are handled efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing lines by clarifying documental doubts and correcting documentation errors
  • Monitor documentation errors metric of the production line
  • Coordinate with Quality Engineer to prepare and handle material in and out of the designated quarantine area
  • Review compliance of quality and manufacturing documentation such as batch records
  • Identify and segregate nonconforming material from the production line according to governing documents
  • Provide support in the process related to nonconformance actions (corrective, preventive or corrections) rework or Short activities
  • Provide support in the process related Build as Risk (BAR's)
  • Assist in setting up and training new or transferred Quality Technicians

Qualifications:

  • Student of Engineering (at least 30% of degree completion) or Technical Degree (at least 50% of diploma completion) in Engineering, quality or related fields
  • Minimum 2 years of equivalent experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical quality control
  • Basic use of MS Office software
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems/engineering required
  • Experience 0 years

Language Proficiency: Basic English level required

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Knowledge in blueprint reading and experience with sampling techniques
  • Prior medical device experience
  • Basic knowledge of statistical techniques/tools
