Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and configuring the Red Hat OpenShift product. They must have extensive knowledge of Red Hat's products and services and understand how they can be applied to bring customers success and value.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and potential customers.
- Demonstrating how a product will meet client needs.
- Collaborating and supporting the sales department to understand the customer.
- Identifying and resolving customer technical objections.
- Installing and configuring products to meet customer needs.
- Configuration and management of a Kubernetes container platform in a large-scale environment (50+ deployments).
- Administration of a Kubernetes container platform in a large-scale environment (50+ deployments).
- Includes but not limited to: Provisioning new projects and users with appropriate RBAC settings, updating base container images ensuring developers use new images, this requires communication and coordination, Kubernetes platform Service and Route debugging.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS/IT, or equivalent experience.
- English advanced proficiency.
- 4+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, or in an equivalent role with large enterprise accounts.
- 4+ years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, team lead, or any other hands-on leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of emerging technology in areas where Red Hat competes including DevOps, microservices, cloud platforms, software-defined storage, container platform and orchestration, and virtualization including NFV.
- Background in at least two of the following technologies: Red Hat JBoss EAP; OpenShift, OpenStack, Fuse, RHEL.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure on/with a major cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
