Your Role

As a natural outgrowth of Gensler's core business of creating great places, our Cities + Urban Design practice area delivers a range of performance focused design strategy and planning services to an ever-expanding group of organizations and institutions.
What You Will Do
- Contribute and co-lead in developing creative and innovative design concepts on a broad range of urban design and master planning projects including:

- Transit oriented development
- Large-scale urban development
- Mixed-use and infill development
- Community and neighborhood-scale planning
- Streetscape Design
- Specific Plans
- Site Planning and Feasibility Studies
- Develop and advance conceptual and schematic designs on urban design and master planning projects
- Prepare compelling and immersive 3D and 2D diagrams that communicate strategy and design
- Analyze/synthesize and document project influences of urban design and master planning projects
- Assist with site planning and programming, footprint layouts, development calculations, massing and architectural design

Your Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience of related urban design, urban planning in an architecture practice
- Master's degree in urban design/urban planning or landscape architecture.
- Working knowledge of land use planning, residential, retail, commercial and mixed-use development typologies
- Knowledge of physical design practices including site planning and programming, building layout, development yields, massing and architectural design.
- Strong design skills and the ability to communicate ideas via graphic design, diagramming and 3D building massing and conceptualization
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino3D and Sketch Up,
- Knowledge of Grasshopper, ArcGIS or other mapping software, Enscape and/or other rendering software like Revit
