**Your Role and Responsibilities**
A Remote Code Load Engineer works with IBM customers to schedule, plan and execute on update of the system firmware/software on a wide range of IBM storage and server products to ensure that the products are operating at their best.
In this role, you'll be responsible for handling customer cases in an effective and accurate manner utilizing techniques and documented procedures.
This job requires technical skills, an eagerness to constantly learn and evolve and a natural curiosity as well as outstanding customer communications skill.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor all incoming RCL requests.
- Coordinate all communication and scheduling with the client.
- Perform system health check and stage code.
- Maintain communication with customer throughout the code load process.
- Execute the product designated code update procedures.
- SME in event of upgrade failures.
- Case management
- The job might require flexible schedule to ensure 24x7 support operations or on-call coverage (as applicable)
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Relevant University degree, ideally in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- At least 1- 2yrs experience in Linux or UNIX Systems Administration and Network Administration.
- Professional experience with Software Support.
- Fluency in English - both verbal and written
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- At least 1- 2yrs experience with Spectrum Scale, Spectrum Fusion, Spectrum Insight or ESS.
- At least 1- 2yrs experience RedHat, Openshift or Ansible.
- At least 1- 2yrs experience with Object Storage and Cloud Storage
