**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

This role is part of Legal & External Affairs - Business Integrity and Compliance.
**Reports to**:Senior Counsel

**Reporting Level**:Manager

**Geographic Scope**:Americas

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Proactively providing pragmatic and sound advice overall legal advice and service to the entire organization in a manner which advances its business objectives while effectively managing relevant risks.
- Structuring, negotiating, drafting, and advising on execution of contracts for Digital Business Solutions and other business operations pursuant to the company's contract management policy.
- Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risk in proposed and operational commercial arrangements (including in connection with data protection, intellectual property, human resources, and compliance).
- Supervising and overseeing the management of all litigations, also lead and support investigations.
- Supervising and overseeing the optimal allocation of legal spend in accordance with co-plan and ensuring compliance down the line.
- Setting and implementing various corporate governance procedures and ensuring strict compliance including but not limited to review and audit of all processes from time to time to ensure continued compliance with the group's compliance guideline such as Standards of Business Conduct (SoBC).
- Supervising and overseeing overall corporate secretarial process including advice to directors on their liabilities as well as ensuring corporate formality compliance under law and in line with internal standards.
- Planning and delivering internal training and awareness sessions for business on a variety of commercial and risk management topics, including Standards of Business Conduct (SoBC).
- Playing a leadership/mentorship role for functional talent and deputize for the Senior Counsel in senior management and functions forums as may be required.
- Proactively driving corporate strategies in LEX driven areas while playing a leadership role in senior management and leadership forums.
**CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

- Do you have experience working with or within a Multinational Corporation or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods business operating in a highly regulated environment?
- Are you graduated with a law degree?
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Graduated with a law degree
- Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, gained at an international or reputable local law firm, and with in-house counsel experience for a major multi-national company
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strategic and creative thinking ability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trusted relationships with peers and senior collaborators
- Analytical ability to spot underlying cause of business issues and to tackle in the most efficient and effective ways
- Strong leadership to drive all sub-functions to deliver strategic outcome
- Multitasking ability to deal with multiple complex issues at the same time

**BENEFICIAL**
- Experience working with or within a Multinational Corporation or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods business operating in a highly regulated environment
- Significant experience and expertise in commercial, corporate and technology laws and practice, with a proven track record of advising on complex contractual and other legal matters
