Position summary:
The Billing Adjustments Associate is responsible for activities related to the processing and approval of customer credit/debit notes, exchange orders, revenue transfer, refunds, rebates, admin fees and tax credits/tax debits.
Also, is in charge of the correct processing of offsets requests related to invoices/credits/debits following the internal compliance.
**Essential duties & responsibilities**:
Complete reports sent by Sales and Corporate within the same month.
- Review, complete and execute offsets following guidelines from internal controls and DOA.
- Analyze any credit balance accounts to determine if a refund should be processed.
- Perform follow-up procedures, as needed, with customers and accounts review.
- Create tax credits and debits to accurately report our taxes.
- Contribute to accurate customer master data elements.
- Create and maintain supporting documentation for process in scope.
- Acknowledge and take accountability of urgent requests and escalations.
- Comply with all internal control procedures to ensure accurate financial records.
- Focus on customer satisfaction by providing teamwork to solve problems while operating with honesty and integrity to provide highly responsive and timely results for the customer.
- Performs other related work as assigned by management.
**Education & special trainings**:
- Technical Degree or at least 2 years completed of a University Degree preferably in Business Administration Accounting, Finance or related field
- Intermediate - MS Office Suite
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Oracle, SAP and JDE systems knowledge is a plus
**Qualifications & experience**:
- 1- 2 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in a shared service environment or multinational companies.
**Physical & mental requirements**:
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-task
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively
- Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
- Effective problem-solving skills
