**Your Role and Responsibilities**
At IBM Aspera, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is a self-starter, quick learner, and who enjoys working in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Our patented, Emmy award-winning FASP protocol is at the core of next-generation transport technologies that move the world's data at maximum speed regardless of file size, transfer distance and network conditions.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer in the WebApps team, you shall become an expert on our existing Orchestrator Product.
On your way to this effort, you will acquire a deep knowledge of their codebase, how they are typically deployed and how our customers operate them, which typically include high-availability and load-balancing.
Must be willing to work on a weekend rotation to lead diagnosis of critical customer outages

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows and MacOS operating systems - 3 years
- Experience in Solution and requirements gathering - 3 years
- Solid experience with Authentication & Authorization workflows and frameworks (SAML, OAUTH2, Active Directories/LDAP, Single Sign-On, Identity providers) - 2 years
- Solid experience with MySQL 5.x or later (installing, operating and SQL querying) - 2 years
- Experience as a Software Developer in at least one dynamic scripting language (Ruby, Python, PHP) - 2 years
- System Scripting skills, such as Unix shell, Windows batch, Perl
- Strong understanding of container technologies, Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, Cloud skills (AWS, Azure or GCP) - 3 years
- Understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, SMTP, LDAP, ICMP, Tcpdump or Wireshark, etc.)
- 2 years
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in customer-facing situations (root-cause analysis and technical problem solving) - 3 years
- Communication and customer focus skills -be able to understand customer problems and articulate current status clearly

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
Foundation in JavaScript frameworks and libraries (Angular, React)

jQuery

Advanced MySQL or MariaDB Admin skills

Java or Golang
