**How you will make an impact**:
AIG Finance is building and expanding a Digital Analytics and Business Services (DABS) center, that strives to provide meaningful FP&A insights and analytics to AIG divisions through functional expertise, enabling business services, and next-gen Finance capabilities.
Particularly, this DABS center will enable FP&A insights with a focus on customer centricity & business services support, promote FP&A process efficiency and see opportunities for productivity enhancements, drive excellence in scale through process harmonization across AIG divisions, embrace digital solutions to elevate FP&A insights and enable continuous improvement of reporting, planning, and forecasting.
The AIG FP&A Visualisation Lead, reporting to the Business Service Hub Lead of the DABS center, would create interactive, dynamic dashboards to provide useful insights and recommendations on the financial performance of the business This role will be actively involved in strategy, reporting, and BI solutioning processes as we drive transformational change to deliver new reporting platforms and solutions.
The role will have a great deal of visibility with senior leadership.
They will also be responsible for developing solid cross-functional business partnerships, leading special projects and improving processes across an organization with substantial volume and system complexity.
**What you will do**:

- Through effective partnership with Commercial, Business Unit and Divisional FP&A teams deliver centralized reporting solutions that facilitate key business insights across all divisions in the group.
- Partner with Data Engineers and IT groups to build new data pathways for integration into AIG's data landscape to support the business reporting requirements, automation and data science objectives.
- Liaises with customers and analytics hub team members to translate requirements to visual report / dashboard design (UX design)
- Engage visualization design to resolve defects, if visualization change is needed
- Identify process improvement opportunities in BI and opportunities to consolidate other FP&A reporting environments into common framework
- Drive commercial, business unit and divisional standardization of reporting processes, tools and technologies.
- Design and deploy group wide data processes to drive consistency and productivity demonstrating data science techniques to move solutions from hindsight to foresight.
- Evaluate technical design options and present alternatives for BI customers in language relevant to their function.
- Support the technical design, maintenance, ongoing development and optimization of the centralized reporting environment.
- Lead integrations and perform validations from source systems and ensure data flows downstream as required.
- Support overall data strategy of centralization, consistency, automation and visualization.
Consider data as a key strategic business asset and seek to enhance and optimize wherever possible.
- Monitor system health and work with stakeholders to resolve ETL and DB issues

**How you will get here**:
**Education**
- Bachelors' degree in Computing, Data Sciences, Accounting or Finance with experience in financial reporting systems
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, or successful completion of Thermo Fishers' Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP)

**Experience**
- Experience using reporting and visualization tools, Power BI preferred with an awareness or experience using DAX
- Experience in providing high volume data reporting tools and a passion for efficient, effective data solutions.
- Understanding of data mining, data wrangling, systems setup, and management reporting
- Understanding of finance, accounting, and impact to reporting systems
