This is an opportunity within the Global Corporate Communications team to work from Moody's Costa Rica office on a wide spectrum of issues that are at the heart of the global capital markets.
You will play a pivotal role in our team's efforts to position Moody's as a leader in integrated risk assessment by supporting our media outreach and campaigns work across the full range of our our analytical and product offering.
- Collaborate across a broad set of communications activities coordinating and handling media outreach across a range of regional and global campaigns
- Supply to the creation and implementation of communications strategies in support of a wide range of business units within Moody's, demonstrating multiple outreach channels
- Consistently identify and implement opportunities to insert our views in relevant news cycles
- Update our campaigns and media trackers, media contacts database and maintain detailed records of media activity and impact, ensuring that all inquiries, campaigns, contacts and meeting data are recorded in a timely, accurate and comprehensive fashion
- Bachelor's degree in communications or journalism or other related field.
- 3+ years experience in successfully leading communications and building/maintaining media relationships
- English fluency/proficiency is crucial (written and spoken); other languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Experience in successfully contributing to strategies promoting content across a spectrum of channels
- Experience of securing impactful placements in leading financial media
- Sharp attention to detail; and the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable with being managed remotely and to manage upwards
- Well-developed IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of and comfort using social media platforms to promote content
- Must be a professional, creative, very organized, enthusiastic and flexible great teammate, who can work independently

The Communications Strategist will be part of the global communications team as an integral part of Moody's Shared Services, the branch of Moody's responsible for providing professional services to support the success of our global Moody's Investors Service (MIS) and Moody's Analytics (MA) businesses.
The communications team is responsible for promoting accurate and widespread media coverage of Moody's research and products offering and to provide strategic counsel to senior management and business leaders on outreach strategies, and develop, manage and enhance relationships with top-tier media outlets.
