Warehouse Supervisor

**Job Function Summary**:
Lead warehouse processes to ensure a safe work environment and attain defined objectives while maintaining.
Areas in the responsibility are: General Warehouse, Technical Warehouse and Chemical Preparation room.
**Major Areas of Accountability**:
Ensure a safe environment in the warehouse.
Supervise that safety rules are followed and implement a continuous safety culture improvement following Coloplast Safety guidelines.
Collaborate closely with EHS in terms of safety practices.
Participate in the preparation of near-accident reports and ensure that root cause analysis are being made.
Determine manning and shifts requirements and communicate needs on time and forecast headcount changes.
Generate daily warehouse reports.
Ensure that import and export weekly plans are met.
Create alternative plans when needed and communicate to Shipping Coordinator or equivalent.
Responsible to deliver the Warehouse Inventory Accuracy indicator on target or above.
Ensure the 5S execution within the Warehouse.
Participate in the Supply Chain Gemba daily meeting.
Coordinate operator's workload with Warehouse Coordinators to ensure proper attainment of activities.
Coordinate yearly physical count for the warehouse.
Handle NCs that are related to Warehouse operations.
Implement a continuous improvement culture and structure to drive operational excellence in the warehouse.
Support Head of Supply Chain on specific projects needed.
Track inventory levels and challenge material planners when inventory is above needed levels.
Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and monitored.
Train, guide and evaluate new warehouse workers.
Forecast and follow up on warehouse expenses related to packaging of finished goods.

Compliance with corporate quality system
Initiation of any corrective or preventive action necessary to keep the quality system up to date and to ensure that it is complied with ensure that management review are held and providing the basis for the management review of the quality system
Ensuring promotion of awareness of regulatory requirements throughout the organization
Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines
Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position

**Essential Qualifications**:
Bachelor in Industrial Engineering or similar.
5 years of more as Warehouse supervisor.
Knowledge in Costa Rica Labor Legislation.
Proven record as people manager.
Proficient in Microsoft Office package
Advanced English Level.
**Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities**:
This position will support Coloplast Manufacturing EHS Goals and Objectives.
Comply with company standards for environment, health, and safety.
Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with instructions from EHS and Supervisor/Lead.
Immediately report unsafe conditions or job hazards to your Manager.
Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
Report accidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses and property damage to your Supervisor.
**Relationships and Contacts**:
Operations - close relation with Value Stream Manager and Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure high service level.
Quality Group - coordination of raw material related NCs.
Collaborate with QA regarding the Sterilization process and incoming inspection.
Head of Supply Chain - feedback and direction of the Department and individual performance.
Other warehouse team members in the site.
**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Leadership on managing people.
Ability to work/collaborate within teams.
Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple projects.
Self-motivation and a genuine interest in improving processes and internal customer relationships.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow work instructions
Computer knowledge and good typing skills required.
Ability to lift minimum 10 kg on a regular basis
Must be able to lift 20 kg periodically
Must be able to stand, kneel or squat for extended periods of time
Must be able to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and can enter confined spaces
Must be able to push/pull over 20 kg
Must be able to reach above shoulder level
Must be able to operate power/hand tools
