Snowflake Developer

We are seeking to hire an experienced Snowflake Developer to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Snowflake developer will work on implementing data pipelines to make data available in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) from systems of records and operational data stores.
- The Snowflake developer will get to work on best-in-class cloud technologies (Azure, Snowflake, Fivetran, Talend Cloud etc.)
- Along with making data available in the EDW, the Snowflake SE will work with Business and Data Analysts to implement data models and calculate key business KPIs for the use of the wider business for reporting and analytics.
- The Snowflake SE will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills by working on assignments as part of an Agile Team guided by more senior developers and Architects.
- Snowflake developer will work on implementing data pipelines to make data available in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) from systems of records and operational data stores.
- The Snowflake developer will get to work on best-in class cloud technologies (Azure, Snowflake, Fivetran, Talend Cloud etc.)
- Engineer Data pipelines from various sources (on-prem, Cloud, APIs).
- Enterprise Data Lake/ Warehouse Development.
- Schedule and Monitor Batch and near real-time data pipelines.
- Unit testing and troubleshooting.
- Understanding technical design and executing technical requirements.
- Supporting day-to-day BI operational tasks.
- Designs batch cycle procedures on major projects using scripting and Control M and performs functional analysis for major projects supporting several corporate initiatives.
- Works with IT partners and user community for project definition; works on multiple platforms and multiple projects concurrently.
- Performs independent technical analysis, debugging and troubleshooting as well as code and unit testing for complex scope modules, and projects.
- Serves as a technical resource for others and participates in rotating production support activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:

- 3 years of overall Data Integration experience with 3+ experience in Snowflake.
- Utilities like SnowSQL, Snow Pipe, experience in administering Snowflake, experience in Creation of user accounts and security groups, experience with data loading using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Python/JavaScript or other scripting languages.
- Hands-on exposure to ETL using Snowflake SQL and Talend is preferred.
- Design and implement effective Analytics solutions and models with Snowflake.
- Good experience of using one/more scalable (MPP) relational databases such as Teradata, Netezza, Redshift, Snowflake, and SQL data warehouse for advanced analytics.
- Experience in participating in data modeling and in developing conceptual and logical data models.
- Examine and identify Datawarehouse structural necessities by evaluating business requirements.
- Assess Datawarehouse implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation and speaking skills.
- Understanding of dimensional and relational modeling.
- Understanding of BI/DW development methodologies.
- Should be aware of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and ADF in specific.
- Bachelor's Degree in in engineering, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in any ETL tool Informatica/Talend is preferable.
