The demand planner role remit is to manage operational demand as well as to act as the operational point of contact between the local Marketing Company and the respective supply regions.
The objective of this role includes to use analytical capabilities, demand and planning expertise along with interactions with the MC and supply regions to meet the market needs within the executional planning horizon.
There is a significant analytical aspect of this role in reviewing and challenging data and underlying assumptions to make recommendations.
For example, responsibilities include monitoring sales against forecast, demand forecast verification and challenge, review of associated market intelligence, forecast quality metrics review and monitoring of supply chain parameter settings etc.
**Accountabilities**

**Demand Management**
- Manage Past due element in APO (forecast and orders)
- Monitoring of forecast vs sales in current month
- Makes demand validation to understand forecast variations versus previous submissions
- Analysis of sales pattern / phasing and ensuring correct forecast split patterns are set in APO; (sign off by MCAM)
- Alert Monitoring
- Switch management (up to order placement)
- Lead demand intelligence from 3rd Party Commercial Partners (excluding GES managed 3rd parties)
- Key stakeholder in the MS&OP meetings; Focus on 3-24month horizon
- Manage /analyse short term demand and events; ensure it is aligned with rules of engagements with the supply organisation
- Act as the day-to-day customer interface
- Manage exceptional short term demand changes between MCs & Pack Sites.
- Support projects and initiatives (e.g.
NPI, deals, acquisitions, business development initiatives,).
**Supply Planning (CMI)**
- APO CMI demand & planning including PO creation (including SLOB items)
(note - management of CMI hands over to supply after PO creation)
- Master data review and update for CMI in APO
- Operational Planning process super user (as identified)
- Planned unavailable stock (shelf life) management (past due and updates in APO)
- Pack change process supported (up to order placement)
- Creates Coverage Reports at least 1 a month
- Runs Planned unavailable stock report to identify risks (once a month)
- For Tail SKUs, submitting the Expediting form when required
**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Demand Management**
- Attend Demand & Supply meetings as appropriate
- Attend MS&OP & IBP meetings as appropriate
- Forecast Demand management - validation of forecasts & release of forecasts to APO
Investigate short term significant demand changes / supply and demand imbalances
- Forecast Demand management - approval in APO of adhoc forecasts
- Prepare market demand / intelligence input for product S&OP/ IBP as appropriate
- Support to MCAM in the monthly update of global launch tracker
- When there are discontinuations, administrate in V4Cast the Zero forecast, Active SKUs list, Best fit setting.
**Supply Planning**
- Forecast Validation In APO (ie Past due elements)
- Monitor (Validate) Incoming Customer Orders for distributor markets
**Master Data**
- Raise request of New Material set up / maintenance in Local ECC (MDG)
- Material Master data set up in APO (Note - CDT to own non-market specific elements)
- Relevant Master data review and update for VMI in APO
- Create / Update PIR for new materials
- Update transfers prices in PIR every fiscal period (January every year)
- Support master data quality in APO (ad hoc requests e.g.
CIF Monitoring reports, etc)
- Discontinuation Master data updates in APO (change special controls)
**Reporting/ analytics**
- SCM monitor - complete monitor including RCA
- Proactive Planning Tool Maintenance and monitoring - Stock outs actuals & projected
- Demand pack - Provide RCA for ambers/reds for all KPIs
- Forecast accuracy exclusions reporting
