You will engage penetration testing leadership to review and prioritize penetration test requests, manage penetration testing queue including routine updates to tickets, escalation due to lack of response or closure of orphan tickets, soliciting guidance from management as needed, and work penetration tests in a serial fashion, deliver penetration test reports within committed due dates, soliciting quality feedback from teammates as needed, support the execution of tactical or strategic penetration testing team projects and review and update of existing penetration testing team documentation, including processes, methodologies, and technical tips.
**What you'll do**
- Triage Web Applications and Web Services/APIs for Penetration Testing
- Correspond with Development Teams and Information Security Officers for access, credentials, and artifacts to conduct Penetration Testing
- Conduct Penetration Testing using both automated and manual procedures
- Write technical reports detailing vulnerabilities identified, including evidence of exploitability
**What experience you need**
- 1-3 years of Penetration Testing experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience using Burp Suite Professional in a working capacity
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with various operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Xen)
**What could set you apart**
- Experience in Computer Programming and Scripting (e.g.
Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of Vulnerabilities and Exploits used for compromising Web Applications and Services
- Experience in using security testing tools (e.g.
Burp Suite, Metasploit, NMAP, Wireshark, Nessus, etc.)
- Understanding of Secure Web Communications and Technologies
- Strong Communication and Writing skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of NIST 800-53 and OWASP testing requirements and methodologies
