Job Summary

Job summary:

- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a _Controller Assistant _located in _CR, Alajuela_._
- Reporting to the Controller, Controller Assistant role involves_ _preparing and maintaining accounting records and analyzing and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements._

What a typical day looks like:

- _
Reconcile trial balance accounts within individual's responsibility._
- _
Prepare/Review Journal Vouchers with appropriate supporting documentation._
- _
Adhere to Direct Material Standard Cost, Capitalization or Direct Labor and Manufacture Overhead in Inventory, Monthly Purchase Price Variance, Cycle Counting, and Inventory transfer policy._
- _
Ensure corporate reporting deadlines are met for designated reports._
- _
Develop forecast for areas within responsibility interfacing with individuals outside of cost accounting._
- _
Establish objectives and implement appropriate processes in line with established financial practices._
- _
Ensure budget, schedules and performance requirements are met._
- _
Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in accordance with GAAP._
- _
Monthly financial periodic closing, analysis, and reporting._
- _
Compile monthly rolling year forecast._
- _
Prepare report of the Financial Statements (Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet)_
- _
Review with the help of GBS local and foreign accounts payable._
- _
Coordinate and preparade of Internal Control reports._

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

- _
Experience as controller assistant or accounting background_
- _
BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience and training._
- _
Fluent English_
- _
Experience in manufacturing industry is also a plus_
- _
Knowledge in forecast, P&L, balance sheet & cash flow_
- _
ERP & excel proficiency_
- _
Costs and accounting reconciliations experience_
- _
Knowledge in US GAAP_
- _
Free trade zone regiment knowledge is also a plus_
