What is your mission in this role?
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for product, mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting CAD software.
- Coordinate with and consult other Engineers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
- Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
- Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery.
- Evaluates designs, drawings, and fabrication to company, industry, and customer standards.
- Produces and reviews product documentation (primarily drawing and specification documents)
- Manage change orders and implementation.
- Provide measurement guidance and general knowledge of measurement system analysis.
- Works under general direction.
- Travel both domestically and internationally as needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Language Skills**:
Bilingual, English, and Spanish.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, Industry standards and governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, customers, and the general public.
All of this on both languages.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

**Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Solidworks certification (CSWP)
- ISO 13485 & 21 CFR 820
- ASME Y14.1 and ASME Y14.5
- In-depth understanding and execution of design and drafting principles.
- Teamwork & time management.
- Self-starter, organized, willingness to perform repeated similar activities.
- Identify and interpret how the product/process meets industry standards.
- Define problems, organize, evaluate, and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work with data presented in mathematical or diagrammatical form.
- Possesses strong computer skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

- Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Has the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
- Works in moderate noise levels

**Education & Experience Requirements**:

- Drafting and Design Technology Associates degree, Engineering Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience or combination of education and experience equal to 4 years.
- Experience in design of components for plastics injection molding, metal forming/stamping, and electro-mechanical devices preferred.
- SolidWorks certification preferred.
- Technical writing skills preferred
