**Job Description**:
The RTR Sr. Accounting Analyst, General Accounting works closely supervised and follows specific, detailed instructions. This position reports to the General Accounting Team Leader.

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Monthly closing of the general ledger while performing all the tasks included in the applicable month-end closing checklist taking responsibility for all actions assigned to the individual ie. updating and signing the checklist (some activities in details: calculation and/ or review and posting of accruals, deferrals, and provisions etc., reconciliation or review of BS accounts; prepare month-on-month variance analysis for the trial balance etc.)
- Supporting timely data submission to the 3M consolidation team
- Strong skills to prepare & review journal entries and reconciliations are critical
- Researching and resolving questions regarding receivables/payables/fixed assets
- Ensure compliance of 3M Global Financial Standard, SOX Controls and internal policies.
- Strong financial analysis
- Ensure SLAs and KPIs are achieved and customer expectations are met
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead team in implementing them
- Preparing basic monthly/ quarterly/ yearly reports to 3M Internal Teams (e.g. Tax team) or external governmental/ statistical offices - in case required includes analysis
- Proficient analysis & follow up to unreconciled items
- Actively supporting internal and external (statutory or group) audits
- Actively support annual financial statement preparation
- Actively support tax calculations and declarations
- Escalating issues/ problems and deviations from the standard process to General Accounting Team Leader/ Manager
- Creating, maintaining and reviewing standard SOP’s, process maps for General Accounting processes
- Training new/ or existing team members as requested by Team Leader/ Manager
- Initiate one to one discussion
- As sometimes requested by the line manager, it is your duty to carry out tasks that are non-contiguous with your role and your qualification if it does not conflict with any legislation

**Requirements**:

- Accounting or business administration degree
- Experience working within Service Center environment with direct experience with GL, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and/or Inter-Company
- Between +4 years of continuous experience in accounting
- Advanced English and Spanish
- ERP knowledge (Oracle, SAP etc.) highly preferred
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- A problem solver with a client service and quality-oriented mindset
- Structured approach to effectively and efficiently planning own workload
- Excellent communication skills;
- Team oriented person who can focus on the details.
- Must be able to work independently
