Payroll Administrator

**Your Role and Responsibilities**
Responsible for performing functions in support payroll delivery for IBM Canada employees. Collaborates with other areas such as compensation, pension and benefits. Helps to drive the implementation of changing legislation.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Payroll Experience (approximately 2 years)
- Excellent English verbal and written skills
- Strong professional skills, a project management/implementation background is an asset
- Ability to learn new skills and understand the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
- Ability to provide clear direction to employees, managers and HR when engaged
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment which is based in Canada and Costa Rica
- Eastern time zone support
- Very positive attitude

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Understanding of payroll including biweekly processing, year end, garnishments, ROE, remittances, over payments etc is a plus
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certified is a plus
- Understanding of Workday HCM and Payroll is a plus
- Understanding of SAP HCM and Payroll is a significant plus
