**About the role**:
**Essential duties and job responsibilities**:

- Exhibits a mindset that places a premium on quality and meticulously attends to every facet of quality throughout the software development life cycle by crafting code that is clean, efficient, testable, maintainable, well documented, and secure by adhering to established best practices.
- Creates APIs and integrates them with a diverse array of data sources.
- Identifies and resolves issues by debugging and troubleshooting in a timely and efficient manner.
- Produces and maintains technical documentation to ensure that the excellence of our software solutions is maintained.
- As a member of an empowered Agile team, participates in all Agile team ceremonies, including sprint planning, product backlog grooming, sprint review, and sprint retrospectives.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Git (GitLab) version control system to effectively track changes made to code.
- Proficiency in utilizing Atlassian suite of products to plan, track, and manage Agile and software development work.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a highly skilled engineering team, as well as the ability to work independently when required.
- Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Dedication to continuous learning and development of skills in emerging technologies while sharing acquired knowledge with others.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience with technical knowledge and practical experience implementing and testing cloud-native, highly scalable, highly scalable, event-driven distributed Software as a Service (SaaS) systems using Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud native services.
- Skilled at implementing event driven microservice solutions including distributed transactions patterns, event-souring, distributed monitoring, and tracing.
- Experience with Swagger is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of static site generates such as Gatsby or Next.js.
- Proficiency with prevalent front-end development tools, including Babel, Yarn, Webpack, and NPM, to optimize and sustain front-end build systems.
- A demonstrated aptitude for utilizing message broker and event queue technologies, such as Apache Kafka and AWS Simple Queue Service.
- Well versed with SSL Web Sockets.
- Proven skills in designing and implementing Lambda functions within a serverless architecture framework using managed AWS services.
- Experience with native Amazon Web Services such as Elastic Cloud Computer (EC2), CloudFront, CloudFlare, Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), Lambda, API Gateway, Simple Queue Services (SQS), Simple Notification Service (SNS), S3, Aurora, Relational Database Service (RDS).
- Experience with search/indexing systems such as AWS CloudSearch, ElasticSearch and AWS OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with data modeling and database systems, encompassing SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot technical issues in existing MS SQL/T-SQL queries, functions, views, and stored procedures to ensure that the database system maintains optimal performance, functionality, and availability, resulting in greater efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills (B2+).

**Nice to have**:

- Knowledge of data access technologies like ADO.NET and object relation mapping (ORM) frameworks such as entity framework (EF) or Dapper.
