**ABOUT THE ROLE**

A UA Art Director follows the creative strategy and direction set by the VP, Creative Director; provides conceptual, brand, and stylistic direction as well as schedules and creates project timelines for a design staff, orchestrates their work, as well as the work of production artist, photographers, retouchers, illustrators, UI designers, animators, developers and anyone else who is involved in the development of a given project. The art director generally is responsible for quality control while ensuring proper sign-off by the senior creative team, merchandisers and marketing teams. Responsible for managing brand style guidelines and meeting all project deadlines.

This position is heavy with eCommerce and online production responsibilities, being creative, following the visual direction set by the VP, Creative and senior creative team, and maintaining and demanding an exceptional brand aesthetic and user experience from the design team is a critical components of this role as well as being mindful of emerging technologies as we navigate changing online trends, audience behaviors, business strategies and changes in work environments.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Oversee all creative and production work necessary to complete the delivery of digital and online assets including ensuring good image selection, assignment direction, and wireframes, as well as garments, prices, and copy, are accurate and that files are prepared properly and efficiently for the given channel or project specs.
- Partner with the merchant, marketing, and dev teams.
- Prepare and process all communication around assigned project deadlines, inter and intra-departmentally. This includes conducting post-mortems, daily stand-up meetings, and meeting with merchant teams for ways to improve and streamline workflow and communication.
- Create garment styling ideas, work with the photographer, create hands-on style garments if needed as well as quality control of the garment's color and product details being retained and highlighted for the consumer.
- Help maintain the brand's visual identity through good image selection.
- Project Management: communicate with the team and internal + external business partners; follow up on tasks; project tracking; set timelines + milestones; measure KPIs; resource planning; troubleshooting.
- Administration: Team coaching and training; monthly, semi-annual and annual reviews and HSL's; manage team timekeeping or invoicing; maintain templates + brand guides; regularly review and evaluate processes, tracking KPIs and optimizing; hold regular team meetings.
- Creative/Design: Work as a hands-on designer; ensure engaging, market-appropriate designs for self and team based on directives supplied by senior creatives, marketing, or merchant business partners; ensure quality and accuracy of assets delivered including merchandise specs, image quality, content, and brand guidelines.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- Excellent detail orientation with project management skills.

- Strong visual problem-solving ability, the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, and align activities to meet organizational goals.
- Excellent communicator with great presentation skills with an ability to work well within a team.
- The ability to demonstrate leadership skills, and proactive thinking, and must be able to work with all levels of the organization.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in managing and growing a brand's creative vision, and strong retail or marketing graphics experience through strong layout, typography, photo composition, and mood board creation.
- More than 02 years of experience in photography, photoshoot management, or garment styling.
- Basic understanding of Responsive Web Design.
- Experience in shooting or styling for video is a plus.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Advanced exposure to Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat
- Intermediate exposure to Workfront or related project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Trello

**DESIRED QUALIFICATION**
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Web Design/Fine Arts disciplines or equivalent practical experience.
