The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of EDI Analyst will support US and Canada invoicing for all 3M customers. Proper and accurate delivery of invoices is essential and results in maintaining good customer relationships and results in positive financial gains. This is a customer-facing position, interacting directly with external customers, and partnering with internal 3M clients and cross-functional team members to drive results. It is essential to be the bridge between the customer and internal 3M teams, communicating the needs of both parties efficiently.

An EDI Analyst must have strong analytical skills and be able to troubleshoot problems that may be unusual or complex. The individual will need to deal well with ambiguity, while also handling multiple ongoing projects and timelines. Strong organizational skills are essential to keep up with ever-changing processes and customer requirements.

The individual employed will be expected to broaden their knowledge of EDI, accounts receivable and the various invoicing methods that 3M utilizes.

**Responsibilities**:
EDI Tasks
- Implement new US and Canada partners for EDI 810 invoicing and 820 remittances. This includes reviewing customer requirements (specifications) and coordinating with IT and Customer Service on mapping requirements and data testing.
- Request, test and implement map changes for existing EDI partners.
- Support existing EDI partners with requests, data issues, etc. Includes retransmission of invoices when required by 3M due to invoice corrections or by customers when transmission issues arise.
- Work closely with other teams that support EDI documents such as POs, POAs and ASNs when a customer is implementing multiple documents.
- Serve as bridge between customers and IT department, communicating the needs of both parties.
- Monitor EDI rejection notices and administer appropriate resolution. This may include correcting and resending invoices, making necessary parties aware of rejection, or requesting EDI changes.
- Manage ticketing queue for internal EDI invoice failures

Invoice Output Maintenance
- Ensure data quality of invoice outputs as to avoid delay in delivery of invoices
- EIPP Support

Support EIPP
- (Electronic Invoice Presentation & Payment) customers and inquiries.
- Create IT tickets when additional support is needed

Web Billing
- Administer daily manual entry of invoices to various third-party websites.
- Maintain catalog of third-party websites and log in credentials.
- Notify appropriate parties of failures.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in trouble shooting, problem solving within systematic issues and complexities preferably within EDI.
- English level: 90% proficiency C1+ (written and spoken).
