**GENERAL ACCOUNTANT**:
Our team in **Heredia** currently has an opening for a **General Accountant**

**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Job Summary:

- Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and complete financial records for the entity, including recording and reconciling transactions, preparing journal entries, and performing general ledger account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting rules, IFRS accounting, and tax and legal regulations in the country, including but not limited to income tax, VAT, social security, and labor laws.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, performing variance analysis, and reconciling intercompany accounts.
- Assist, with coordination of Finance Controller, with the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts for the Costa Rica entity.
- Collaborate with other functional teams within the Shared Service Center, including P2P, O2C and R2R, to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
- Support external audit and tax compliance requirements, including preparing schedules and providing documentation as needed.

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, with knowledge of local accounting rules, IFRS accounting, and tax and legal regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Desirable experience with systems like Oracle, SAP, HFM and other similar softwares.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
