**Title: Senior Full Stack Software **Engineer** in Studio **AI** (CR)**

**Remote/Home Office in Costa Rica**: required during COVID-19 pandemic; may be optional post-COVID (under CR laws)

**Hours**: Flexible with some overlap in work hours for EST mornings and with regional or distributed team members.

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

**Who you will work with**:
This is a new senior-level role that will interact closely with data engineers, data scientists, architects, and stakeholders across the various Studio groups in Engineering. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with product line managers, sales, professional services, customer success, technologists, and customer-facing teams. You will report to a regional manager located in Costa Rica within the Studio AI directorate in Engineering.

**What **you’ll** do / y**our responsibilities**:
You will be an essential technical contributor in delivering a sustainable, cloud-native, cloud-agnostic software ecosystem for our customers to integrate their RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems) devices with the cloud and leverage the benefits of Digital Feedback Loops. In this role, you will contribute by doing the following:

- Develop new software features, including APIs and web interfaces on AI common elements and our studio products, such as Digital Feedback Loop and Platform Health, using popular frameworks
- Work with Product Owners and other team members to translate the requirements into final deliverables
- Deliver features and updates to the infrastructure.
- You will be responsible for managing and maintaining integrations
- Improve reuse and maintainability by refactoring code and developing automated & manual tests
- Mentor junior and mid-level team members on implementing new features and planning new projects related to UI, back-end and continues improvement

**ABOUT YOU**

**Qualifications - MUST HAVE**:

- BSc (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Computer / Electrical / Software / Systems / Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Math / Physics, or another STEM field.

Advanced degrees (e.g.: MSc, MBA, or PhD) are appreciated but not required.
- 5-8+ years working in software development (Career gaps are ok; life happens)
- Exceptional, inclusive, collaborative team player comfortable working in distributed agile environments
- Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master modern technologies quickly.
- Blend of technical expertise and soft skills, including effective & flexible communication skills in English

**Core Competencies and Demonstrated Success** - **You should have **most **or **all** of these:

- 3-5 years’ experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- 3-5 years’ experience in Node.js and Angular (preferred), React Native, Vue.js, or React JS
- 3+ years’ experience in back-end technologies: Java, Python, Go, C#, C++, etc.
- 2+ years’ experience in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building REST microservices to query and serve data from relational and non-relational databases
- Experience with SQL and DB migrations
- Experience with Git workflows

**Pluses - **It will be great if you also have knowledge or experience with **one or more** of these:

- Experience with Go and libraries like gin, viper, gabs, tektoncd
- Experience with Express, NetJS and TypeORM
- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger
- Experience with Postgres, Redis and NoSQL
- Strong experience with streams processing and message brokers like Kafka
- Experience with IaaC like Terraform and Helm Charts
- Agile and scrum principles, practices, and tools (e.g.: Jira, Confluence)
- CM/CI/CD tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins/and or Tekton) and code quality tools
