Job Summary:
The Tricare Discrepancy Clerk is responsible for supporting all activities related to government logging and discrepancy analysis function which includes verifying the accuracy of calculated discounts and analyzing discrepancies to determine root cause and resolution steps.
As a Tri-Care Clerk, you will review customer accounts and identify discrepancies between the expected cost of service and payer payment. You will have an important role in determining the patient’s insurance status and extent of insurance benefits, ensuring an efficient billing process for medical providers.
**Responsibilities**:
Duties will be performed by each individual depending on the assignment of responsibilities:
- Ensure government discrepancy analysis and processes are performed efficiently and effectively including:
- Monitoring and resolution of unpaid claims and month-end governmental reports.
- Governmental discrepancy analysis and resolution.
- Batch report corrections.
- Medicare Bad Debt management.
- Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- English - Spanish Language (Oral and writing 75% or higher), (B2 or above).
- High school diploma Complete
- At least 1 year of experience in Data Entry or Customer Service positions.
- The resource will adjust its local schedule with the resources supporting this position during Daylight Savings time changes in the Eastern Time Zone.
- A genuine interest in working with and helping customers.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and involvement.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high levels of customer satisfaction and performance in a high transaction volume/high demand environment preferred.
- Good presentation and a polite, tactful and friendly character.
- Healthcare financial or analytical/relevant experience is a plus.
