- The SRE/DevOps Engineer will help develop, manage and execute plans for deploying changes, improving reliability and performance, boarding user groups, and improving the services provided by the technology team that supports software development tools. _
**What you’ll do**:
- Contribute as a (senior) DevOps team member focused on modernization and automation
- Be a champion for DevOps principles and culture change
- Design and implement monitoring and self-healing processes
- Identify and Implement Process Improvements and documentation
- Design and implement orchestration/workflows that integrate multiple services to provide self-service fully automated services.
- Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model
- Configuration and change management
- Develop and document operations run books
- Lead and develop team from a technical and managerial perspective
- Participate in and provide feedback on systems engineering and design
- Provide input on the future execution of the delivery and management of environments with a strong emphasis on automation, security, scalability and resilience
- Support during month-end activity (1 week a month if required)
**What experience you need**:
- BS or Associate's Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required
- 3-5 years of experience in developing public cloud infrastructure using **any IAC tools (preferrably Terraform)**
- 3-5 years of experience in **GCP **using basic services like Compute Engine, VPC, GKE, Bigquery or similar AWS technologies
- 3 years of experience with **Agile and DevOps concepts **, developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards and alerts using tools like Pagerduty, Datadog, grafana. Experience with scripting tools
- 3-5 years of experience using or integrating **CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, GitHub**
- 3+ years of experience of **Google Suite Tools, Confluence and JIRA**
- English proficiency B2/C1
**What could set you apart**:
- GCP Cloud Certifications or another public cloud
- Experience designing/developing Policy as Code
- Software development experience in 2 or languages
- Experience with one or more Public Cloud Providers (Google, Amazon, Azure)
- Excellent verbal, written and ‘attention to detail’ skills
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams including Infrastructure Services, Business Technology, Security and Operations and facilitate conversations that lead to agreed direction
- Ability and desire to work with people all over the world, with the probability of a varying work schedule to accommodate different time zones
