**SUMMARY OF POSITION**
This position is responsible for the day-to-day financial analysis and forecasting activities required to support the Costa Rica site. This includes but is not limited to the preparation and analysis of the financial impact on cost for the plant operations, inventory controls, establishment and evaluation of performance indicators and providing financial and administrative support to plant operations. Work closely with the Plant Controller and will assist with her/his responsibilities, including special projects.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Support the Controller and Site leaders to provide relevant insights to achieve the financial goals of the site. Actively engage in financial and accounting meaningful conversations with the site leaders to drive and achieve the commitments and results.
- Administer all aspects related to the site Overhead spending and accounting, create the forecasts and budgets and create the necessary controls to achieve the financial commitments. Manage all necessary accruals to guarantee the completeness of the financial results.
- Administer all finance and accounting activities required to support the plant operations including financial reporting and analysis, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, accounts receivable, internal and external controls, payroll administration, treasury, budgeting and forecasting, maintenance of US GAAP and statutory books, cost accounting and fixed asset tracking.
- Deliver accurate and informative monthly reporting to Senior Financial and Operational Management in a timely manner, providing insight to actuals and variances to budgets and forecasts
- Coordinate the timely completion of budgets and forecast, ensuring bottom-up details are collated, submitted and reported in line with issued guidelines and deadlines, including the generate and implementation of standard costs.
- Manage and control the CAPEX investment for the CMS CR plant, ensuring accurate capture of capital expenses in line with corporate policies and the timely reporting of actuals and variances to budget and forecast.
- Manage a team of 5+ people to embody the Cardinal Health values and best practices. Define team objectives and align them with the company strategic plan. Enable success across boundaries, help them adapt and learn. Support them on their career growth plans
- Provide financial analysis to drive operations performance and help deliver cost improvements across the plant, in addition to supporting future business decisions and strategies.
- Act as the CMS point of contact to coordinate with the team the timely submission and payment of expense reports and AP transactions.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial package for Executive and Corporate Management. Compile and maintain supporting schedules related to reporting.
- Serve as local owner of tax declarations, PROCOMER requirements, and any other local processes required by Costa Rican law.
- Responsible for internal controls and SOX compliance including management of process and timely reporting of all internal and external audit activities.
- Liaison with the accounting organizations at Cardinal Health headquarters.
- Administer activities to support local statutory requirements and to remain in compliance with the requirements of the "Free Trade Zone". Keep management abreast of local changes that could have an impact on the business or FTZ status.
- Act within scope of authority consistent with Company objectives, guidelines, policies and practices.
**RESPONSABILITIES AND ROLES EHS**
- Has overall responsibility for the implementation of the EHSMS including the EHS policy.
- Communicate and sign EHS Policy.
- Ensure an annual EHS plan is developed and progress is monitored.
- Allocate resources, including time, to effectively implement the EHSMS.
- Respond to changes in leading and lagging EHS metrics.
- Ensure site management team has the skills necessary for effective performance of EHSMS responsibilities.
- Ensure employees are held accountable for implementing assigned EHS responsibilities and activities.
- Exhibit EHS leadership of the EHSMS by participating in EHS activities.
- Celebrate success as EHS goals are achieved or as actions are completed.

- Hold his direct reports accountable by incorporating EHS performance as part of their performance MBOs.
- Require that all EHS procedures and policies are enforced uniformly and consistently.
- Require EHS review of new or modified processes, procedures or contract work.
**REQUIREMENTS**
**_ Education_**
BA or BS degree with major in Accounting (or related business major) from an accredited college or university
Must have a CPA or equivalent.
MBA is a plus.
**_ Experience_**
Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in finance or accounting. At least 2 years of experience managing teams.
