3M Is Hiring a Homecare Billing Associate

The Homecare Billing Team is responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and payers. The position performs  necessary actions related to V.A.C. ® Therapy claims and billing and is required to work numerous reports to drive cleaner claim submission. This position is critical for the financial cycle of 3M Medical Solutions. Medical billing requires attention to detail and experience with the electronic and paper systems used in billing healthcare services. The role will ensure team members are following all insurance requirements and statutory regulations related to US Healthcare Billing.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:
- Analyze and prioritize work.- Effectively use business and clinical data in accordance with 3M policies.- Meet weekly/monthly/quarterly production expectations based on department priorities.- Review payer websites, contacting payers, patients, and physician offices to obtain the necessary information to resolve edits or rejections, updating claim information and re-filing claim in a timely manner.- Communicates clearly and professionally with 3M personnel by telephone and/or written correspondence.- High School Diploma or equivalent (completed and verified prior to start).- Advanced English level (C1)- Demonstrated attention to detail and self-motivated to obtain/exceed goals within set time frames.- Two (2) years of experience in healthcare billing or back-office support.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 Coding.- Knowledge of US Healthcare Billing rules and regulations.- Knowledge of post-acute market; including Home Health Agencies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Wound Care Centers.
