**Senior Treasurer and Credit Control Support**

**Location: Cartago, Costa Rica (Hybrid work)**

As Treasury Expert you will be a key player for the strategy of the financing, cash planning and FX risk management. You will be in charge of operating, developing and promoting the guidelines provided by the Group Treasury both for internal and external customers.

Assist in the financial activities of the company and give strong support to senior management with a proactive role in Credit and Collection tasks.

The scope of the position is for the Central America region (6 countries) with emphasis on Costa Rica (as Head Quarters).

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provide leadership and direction of the long-term financing strategy
- Be in charge of the cash pooling and cash planning
- Daily cash management of the Treasury Center
- Develop and maintain long-term banking relationship
- Roll-out best practices in terms of bank communication and system use
- Encourage the use of the Group in-house bank
- Identify and quantify the company foreign exchange exposures; propose and implement hedging strategies
- Process Hedge Accounting
- Ensure the compliance requirements

Credit control support:

- Support to credit and collection processes by analysing new client proposals and reviewing credit limits as well as setting a strong the policy in place
- Providing necessary information on financial/customer issues to senior management and supporting the business operations.
- Control and manage cheque operation, bad debt portfolio and follow the cases by support of local lawyers.
- Maintain and follow up of Group credit control policies and procedures.
- Make risk analysis & reporting about customers and receivables
- Monitor and follow-up slow paying/outstanding accounts and initiate actions to recover doubtful accounts.
- Support in the control, tracking and reconciliation of Customer accounts

**Experience and background**
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of customer risk management and credit control experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a treasury expert
- Expertise in international accounting rules
- SAP knowledge preferable
- Advanced command of written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Experience on Food Industry or Consumer Goods will be appreciated
- Experienced in working in Central America region, with deep knowledge of.

**Reporting lines**: directly to the Regional Finance Manager - North Latam.
