Sr. Accountant

**Role Summary**:
Provide assistance with financial information by researching, reconciling, and analyzing account balances. Prepare journal entries and financial reports in accordance with international accounting standards. Responsible for payroll processing and related reporting. Generate accurate and timely financial information. Maintain effective internal controls to ensure accurate reporting of financial results. Provide accurate and timely information to support closing. Assist in development of accounting policies and procedures and monitor compliance of these. Support and participate in internal and external audits. This role has key interfaces with External and all Internal Customers.

**Main Responsibilities and Tasks**:

- Accountable for month end closing process which includes reviewing, documenting, and reconciling all financial transactions for the period and is a two-day process.
- Preparation of timely and accurate management information including accounts, forecasts, and other reporting requirements with supporting narrative.
- Timely preparation of Month end, quarter end, and year end close activities and account reconciliations as assigned.
- Support Balance sheet review commentary and supporting documentation.
- Oversee mandatory tax reporting, account reconciliation, review, reconcile and update tax rates, accruals, and data in IFS.
- Assist Controller with yearly tax reporting.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Responsible for Cash Application and processing accounts payable.
- Accountable for payroll processing including compliance. Generate and review timecards, attendance records deductions. Including verification reports for approval.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
- Contribute to team effort in a professional and respectful manner.
- Maintain a high level of integrity by keeping financial information confidential.
- Collaboration and teamwork including participation in group activities.

**Knowledge and Skills**:
**Essential**:

- English speaking

**Education and Qualifications**:

- BS Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of accounting experience required.
- Payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Strong Excel skills with knowledge of Pivot tables other formulas.
- English proficiency - minimum B1 level
