**Your Role and Responsibilities**
Data is the new currency. In an ever increasingly connected world where the amount of data generated every day is exploding, in the wrong hands, this data can be used for malicious intent. As more systems are being built on the cloud, businesses are struggling to protect and monitor their data environment. The IBM Security DevOps team works to deliver leading edge products and solutions to help organizations analyze their data environment to make sound decisions to ensure regulatory compliance and improve their data security. The research and development in this area is critical to IBM and represents a huge opportunity for growth in terms of revenue uplift and technology advancement.
As a DevOps Engineer, you are part of a highly focused, self-managed Agile team who designs, develops & maintains a Continuous Build, Integration, Test and Monitoring pipeline to support the delivery of IBM Security solutions. As our teams operate in a highly dynamic, squad-based environment, you will have the opportunity to work close-knit squad that cultivates creativity and challenges the status quo and pushes limits on finding new and inventive ways to work.

They should also have a keen interest in researching the latest data security trends and regulations, and a broad understanding of cybersecurity attacks.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
English Fluent (verbal and written)
Hands-on experience with at least three programming languages, such as Golang, Python, Java, C++
Knowledge of designing and implementing solutions based on microservices methodologies for Kubernetes
Experience with continuous delivery and continuous integration practices
Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible and/or Terraform
Hands-on knowledge with Linux RedHat and/or Docker containerization
Experience with Linux development toolchain (i.e. rpm, yum)
BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
Strong communication skills and able to convey ideas and opinions to others.
Problem-solving attitude

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Graphana and ELK stack
Working knowledge of Azure, Amazon Web Services, or IBM Cloud is an asset
Experience in enterprise-related development and deployment (scalability, performance)
Experience working in an agile team, e.g., Kanban
