**ROLE SUMMARY**

The Global Information Security (GIS) team protects critical information assets by employing world-class talent, implementing top security controls, providing outstanding leadership, and maintaining a culture of colleague empowerment that serves to enable Pfizer's mission of delivering breakthroughs that change patients' lives. GIS teams continuously work to detect threats faster, respond decisively, and make Pfizer harder to hack.

Automation development within GIS is performed by a distributed community of developers, each assigned to a specific cybersecurity team. The group is linked together by a Community of Practice (CoP), which is managed by a centralized Automation Enablement team. This model provides each GIS team with dedicated development resources, while still providing a central forum for coordination & collaboration among developers. Teams that benefit from dedicated developers include Cyber Threat Intelligence, Intrusion Detection & Analysis, Secure Business Enablement, and Cybersecurity Solutions, among others.

The Cybersecurity Automation Developer role is key to the success of GIS teams. The incumbent will be responsible for learning about team operating practices and development needs through on-the-job training & collaboration with peers. They will work with team management and colleagues to define development goals, scope & prioritize new projects, and develop solutions that help the team perform their work in an efficient & accurate manner. There will be opportunities to take ownership of specific projects, work on a wide array of interesting use cases, and leverage best-of-breed technical solutions to help the team succeed. This position will involve cross-functional collaboration with colleagues located throughout the world.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with management & colleagues on the supported GIS team to help achieve common goals.
- Develop & maintain an understanding of operational practices and development needs of the supported team.
- Work with the assigned cybersecurity team to scope and prioritize new automation projects.
- Take ownership of a subset of automation solutions used by the supported team.
- Perform ongoing development, testing, documentation, support, and maintenance for specific solutions.
- Develop & maintain automation capabilities using technologies like SOAR solutions, service integrations, Python scripts, and PowerShell scripts, among others.
- Actively participate in the GIS Automation Enablement Community of Practice.
- Perform peer code reviews and if needed, provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
- Perform all work in a collaborative, accurate, and complete manner that considers the common needs of other GIS teams.
- Regularly engage in professional development that strengthens technical skills & helps advance the team mission.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or other related discipline
- Experience working in a business environment
- Proficient developing code using Python, PowerShell, or Java
- Experience developing code to interact with REST API services
- Proficient with operating Linux from the command line
- Knowledge of DevOps & Infrastructure-As-Code concepts
- Basic knowledge of networking & general computing concepts
- Ability to communicate in a concise & accurate manner in both verbal and written form
- Capable of working independently and as a contributing member of a team
- Ability to prioritize and execute assigned projects with mínimal direction or oversight

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1+ years performing automation development in a corporate environment
- Experience supporting cybersecurity team operations and related automation capabilities
- Experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence or other related cybersecurity discipline
- Experience with supporting and developing automations using Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR
- Experience scripting repetitive tasks
