Mgr I Controller

TE Connectivity's Financial Controlling Teams coordinate, administer, and control financial operations. They review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, direct all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. They also oversee the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.

**What your background should look like**:
TE Connectivity currently has two manufacturing sites in Costa Rica. The purpose of this role is Manufacturing Plant Controlling which includes as examples: FP&A lead for the site (monthly/quarterly/annually), leading self assessments in all auditable areas ensuring a strong control environment, supporting all internal and external audits, standard costing and analytical support for new products costs.
- The position will report to the Director of Finance Global Medical, and have dotted line reporting to the plant manager. The position is Finance lead representing the site and is part of the Site Leadership Team.
- Has experience in different ERP’s systems and is technologically savvy.
- Can discuss in detail the process of setting annual standard costs.
- Is comfortable explaining variance analysis to leadership.
- Can lead FP&A (budgeting/forecasting).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing environments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Become a Subject Matter Expert for all things finance at the site.
- Driving a tight control environment, performing self assessments in all departments.
- Champion a strong team that focuses on impacting the results.
- Full budgeting and forecasting ownership of the site, high accuracy is required.
- Complete required close activities.
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports required.
- Developing and maintaining working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing financial statements, including strong knowledge of Free Trade Zone regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports generated through ERP systems, the accuracy of the std. costing process and evaluation of manufacturing variances.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives assuring the site net productivity goals.
- Ensure strong working knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing inputs to continuously improve performance benchmarks.
- Build strong relationship with key stakeholders.
- Develop direct reports.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting.
- Requirements/Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Diversified Industrial Products/Manufacturing industry experience preferred/Medical Device industry experience is a plus.
- Prior experience in std. cost setting, cost accounting and FP&A senior roles.
- Experience managing staff.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong accounting background.
