We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team Tax accounting roles at SDC extend far beyond simply putting numbers on tax forms. Here you can add significant value to the company by participating in tax compliance and planning at one of the fastest growing companies in Tennessee. The Senior Tax Accountant will support tax compliance, tax planning, and business consulting for our global operations. Additionally, this position is responsible for processing journal entries, thorough analysis of the general ledger account entries for direct and indirect tax, creating and reviewing monthly reports, and other tax analytical closing activities.

- Assist in preparation of tax schedules and allocations.
- Prepare income and indirect tax returns and assist in preparing informational returns.
- Monitor the VAT/GST on both sales and purchases to ensure these are booked to the correct subsidiary and GL account for recoverability making entries as needed to correct for legal entity accounting purposes.
- Partner with the accounting team to book entries for 70+ Professional Corporations which includes the following responsibilities:

- Post the monthly journal entries related to the PC subsidiaries.
- Lead the reconciliation of the PC and international tax balances, including but not limited to preparing reconciliations in line with Company policy.
- Monitor the intercompany fees and provide fee adjustment recommendations to the Tax Planning Manager and management team, as needed.
- Assist with various tax provision components and return processes.
- Maintain the Company’s method of transfer pricing memo and update as needed.
- Ensure key metrics are defined, tracked, and communicated.
- Support company positions in tax audits
- Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MBA or MaCC degrees preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
- Consolidations and Intercompany accounting experience in a multi-national corporation, preferred.
- Experience (+1yr) with Oracle Netsuite, preferred
- NetSuite ERP working knowledge and exposure.
- NetSuite Accounting/Finance functions capability
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- Display a detail-oriented approach to daily activities, with a self-starter attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel). Experience using Financial Systems. Tech Savvy.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
