**FLOURISH CHILDREN’S SCHOOL **is located in Tamarindo, Costs Rica just 10 minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the North Pacific province of Guanacaste. Flourish Children’s School is an small, dual language private school, focusing on Christian Education for preschool through grade 5. We offer scholarships for low income local children as well as church planters, pastors and missionaries. We currently have 25% of our student body receiving part of full scholarships. Our student body consist of approximately 50% native Costa Rican children and 50% international children. We are looking to hire Christian bilingual primary school teachers. The position in Monday through Friday 7:30-3:30 pm and Tuesdays until 4 pm.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and implement detailed lesson plans and multi sensory instructional activities in all content areas that are aligned to the school standards.
- Assess students regularly and analyze student results; refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on formative and summative assessment data and student needs
- Implement support strategies to meet the academic and behavioral needs of students
- Evaluate the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth of students and keep appropriate and accurate records
- Create an effective environment for learning and hold all students accountable to the academic and behavioral expectations of the school community
- Communicate regularly with students and their families. Hold conferences to discuss individual student progress
- Be community-minded and builder of relationships
- Collaborate with a grade-level partner, department leads, support staff, and the school administration to improve instructional practices and to develop and implement data-driven plans to best support the needs of students
- Participate in professional development opportunities provided by the school.
- Support the mission, vision, and core values of Flourish.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum BA/BS Degree in related field. (for lead teacher)
- State Teaching Credential (preferred, may be working toward this)
- Familiarity with Structured Literacy and Charlotte Mason Philosophy
- Ability to manage elementary student population and use positive discipline and strong classroom management skills.
- Experience in working with Elementary School aged children
- Fluent English Speaking (ESL experience is a plus)

**Salary**: ₡500,000.00 - ₡685,000.00 per month
