Position Summary:
The Account Manager Team Leader is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with customers and Account Managers to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal partners, the Account Manager Team Leader delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution.
The position will handle a defined book of business aligned by customer segment within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals.
You will also open larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution and Proposition Sales.
Additionally, you will be a resource for the Account Managers under your remit for mentor, advice, and mentorship.
You will be supporting the Americas Region.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision maker’s strategies, priorities and needs
- Maintain solid understanding of business propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
- Possesses a deep understanding of the range of client business environment and challenges in his/her territory
- Is proficient in all sales situations and the overall sales cycle
- Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within their accounts
- Drive growth by growing company footprint within their accounts
- Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement and expanding and retaining managed net revenue Oversee all commercial activities within accounts, leading the end-to-end customer relationship
- Drive efficiency in account administration (especially for lower value and growth potential accounts)
- Govern internal and external collaborators and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals.
- Maintains pipeline hygiene (renewals and gross) in Salesforce
- Monitor, empower and mentor Account Managers
- Interacts with industry peers with finesse, leveraging jargon and relevant industry acronyms.
- Give feedback to management on performance, incentives, and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Strong understanding of customers and their business model and workflows.
- Validated experience within the customer segment.
- Strong product knowledge
- Relationship building skills
- Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and implement a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency
- Problem-solving ability to understand, articulate, structure, and solve client needs
- Presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization
- Ability to collaborate and own an account team
- Advanced degree may be preferred
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry
- Expert-level product & workflow expertise and advanced industry knowledge
- Shown competencies in account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment required
- Customer relationship management required throughout all levels within an organization
- Proficient in English and Spanish
