**OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE**:

- To build and maintain a partnership with the assigned business partners, and develop and manage the team to deliver against agreed service level agreements. Manage and control the outsourced PtP and RtR activities ensuring end to end service and performance delivery in compliance with Accounting principles and Corporate Policies/Global Operating Model. Responsible of the Accounting Function for Express or DGF clients in each country.

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Identifies and execute process improvements and service enhancements.
- Optimizes organizational design of department from process perspective.

**RELATIONSHIP**
- Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with all relevant stakeholders: Internal stakeholders.
- Local business partners/Country Finance, DHL sr management, local and corporate Controlling, Corporate Treasury, internal auditors, BPO, regional finance teams, other parties/towers within the DPDHL Group.
- External stakeholders: outsourcing parties, banks, external auditors.

**PROCESSES**
- ACCOUNTING PROCESS
- Ensure the monthly accounting and reporting actvities are executed in line with DP DHL guidelines, the Global/Regional Express Operating model, IAS/IFRS principles and local GAAP.
- Develop and execute the entity strategy and annual operating plan in conjunction with Senior Management, Superiors and other Service Lines.
- Develop, agree and maintain the annual Service Level Agreements and ensure these are executed.
- Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with the country representatives and other relevant business partners.
- Act as the main point of escalation for business partners for both local and outsourced activities.
- Manage the contacts with internal and external service providers on behalf of the country or cluster
- Develop the budget for the own department in line with the instructions and guidelines and provide regular forecast updates.
- COMPLIANCE / AUDIT
- Ensure that all controls are implemented, evidences gathered and timely reviewed as per the Internal Control Framework and CRISP.
- Ensure audit and internal compliance to CRISP and ICF by working closely together with Operations and other relevant teams, such as QA team or Finance & Control.
- Ensure the team works and adheres to agreed procedures, ensure ongoing standardization of work practices, to protect efficiency gains achieved within the department
- IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES
- Conduct service performance reviews with business partners and strive to achieve all stipulated KPI's in the SLA.
- Active participation in regional and global initiatives in order to optimize the accounting process in terms of business partner satisfaction, KPI's and process optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, quality, efficiency and cost and involve outsourced party when required. Implement these opportunities in agreement/alignment with Global Process Owners and/or other stakeholders such as BPO.
- Optimize organizational design from process perspective.
