Smartsheet is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team focusing on marketing. As a marketing-focused analyst, you will serve as a trusted partner and play a crucial role in optimizing the allocation and execution of financial investments across the marketing organization and many channels. The position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive the rhythm of business cadences and contribute to the overall growth and success of Smartsheet.

This role will report to our Sr. Manager of FP&A located in our Bellevue, WA office. This role is remote-eligible.

**You Will**:

- Take ownership of the Marketing forecasting process, including the development, implementation and tracking of the marketing budget.
- Work closely with marketing managers to gather budget requirements, updates and adherence to the allocated budgets throughout the fiscal year.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts, variance analyses, and budget accuracy reports.
- Ensure all marketing expenses are accurately recorded, coded and reconciled in financial systems.
- Review procurement requests and monitor expenditures against approved budgets; address any discrepancies promptly.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes related to budget management in order to increase forecast accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide overall support and coordination to the FP&A team including general inquiries, ad-hoc requests and projects.

**You Have**:

- 2+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in Finance/FP&A positions
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or similar quantitative discipline preferred but not required
- Language fluency in English
- Exposure to SaaS subscription-based business models and associated KPIs a plus
- Experience with Opex modeling and forecasting, large data sets and sophisticated models, proven proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint presentations and deck creation
