**Intern Job Description (Costa Rica D&A teams)**

**Responsibilities**:
Moody’s Investors Service is among the world’s most respected and widely utilized sources for credit ratings and research. Our opinions and analysis on a broad range of credit obligors and obligations are valued around the world for their insight and rigor. The Data & Analytics team works with the Analysts in Moody’s credit ratings process and provides a range of support services to the overall credit analysis function, including financial data analysis, research, analytical outreach and presentations.

**Your role**

We are looking for current students to join the Data & Analytics team for a paid 6 month internship starting in March 2024.

**As an MIS Data & Analytics Intern, the scope of work could include**:

- Review and understand financial statements
- Develop understanding of Moody’s methodologies
- Perform financial statement analysis and adjust reported data per relevant methodology requirements
- Work directly with ratings and support analysts to explain the data, adjustments and others
- Prepare and update financial spreadsheets, charts and tables and identify trends in data
- Prepare presentation materials for outreach activities
- Support updating various sector specific databases

Provide support and be a resource to other team members, under overall supervision

**Qualifications**:

- Degree specializations in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or equivalent
- Curiosity about credit and/or financial analysis
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Shown verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and dedication to producing high quality, accurate work
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team
- Proficient in English, any other foreign language would be an advantage (e.g. Portuguese)
